If that’s your style, and I have to admit it’s certainly my favourite, then Camp Katur is the most amazing venue, and it’s just 35 minutes drive from Harrogate , off junction 50 on the A1M. It caters for all sizes and types of weddings but is clearly aimed at those with a penchant for the fresh air, forest setting and glamping.
At Hill Farm, one of the two venues on the site, they offer a dedicated forest setting with nearby field with bell tents and a large area for a marquee, or use of a smaller safari tent with built in log fire, all designed to keep you cosy. The views , fresh air and the forests are absolutely breathtaking.
At Meadow Farm, there are also some log cabins for those who want a few more creature comforts (or perhaps have older relatives who prefer that style of accommodation) and a hot tub of course. The main area has a woodland chapel and gorgeous walkway to make your entrance, and lots of different types of cabins, yurts and tents, with a huge space for a large marquee if wanted too. There is also the cabin kitchen and pizza oven for those guests staying over and wanting an informal meal the night before.
